Second Chance
Paws

A little room goes a long way.

A shelter, foster homes and neighbors who keep showing up. That’s Second Chance Paws.

It started with one hound.

In 2014, Amber Lyle brought a stray hound home and asked a few neighbors to help find him a family. The next dog came. Then a cat. Today we work from a small shelter and 40 foster homes, with the same belief: a safe place is the beginning, not the finish.

Care is a community effort.

Sometimes a ride makes room.

When a northern rescue has space and a good match, our transport volunteers help an animal get there. Every trip is arranged with health records, a safe travel plan and a receiving partner. Ask how you can help with a local leg.
