A squeegee pulls cobalt ink across a studio screen

Hello, I'm Simone.

I opened Delta Light Press in 2016, in a little storefront a few blocks from the river. Before that, I drew on whatever paper was close enough to reach.

The Delta has a way of staying with you. Its long horizons. The music coming through a screen door. A heron that doesn't move until you do. These prints are my way of keeping those things.

I draw each image, separate the colors, expose the screens, and print every sheet myself. Fifty copies. Pencil signature. Then the screen gets washed out.

Let the ink
take its time.

A color needs to dry before the next one goes down. There's no speeding that up. That quiet time is part of the work.
