A place we wanted to come home to.

We’re Matt and Leah Crane. These cabins began with one old chimney, a lot of weekends and a view we couldn’t leave.

Matt and Leah Crane on a timber porch

One cabin, back in 2013.

Matt grew up in Newton County. Leah came for a river weekend and stayed for the hills. When a timber cabin on the family ridge needed saving, we started with the roof, kept the stone chimney and spent a summer learning which floorboards creaked. Friends asked to stay. Then their friends did. Five cabins later, we still walk the porches before every arrival.

Matt takes care of the cabins, the trail and the wood stacks. Leah handles your dates, the linens and the little things in the kitchen. We live nearby, so if something isn’t right, call us. We’ll come up the road.
