First Street Church

Our church

Rooted here. Still making room.

A brick church by the square. A community that reaches beyond its walls.

The red brick church in morning light.

It started with neighbors.

In 1910, families near the courthouse square gathered to build a place for worship and friendship. The windows and pews have seen weddings, farewells, nervous first visits, and plenty of ordinary Sundays.

We are a small Protestant congregation with room for different backgrounds. Scripture, prayer, music, and caring for our neighbors shape our week. James and Renee came here in 2014. Their hope is simple: that nobody has to walk through a hard season alone.
