First Street Church

Visit & get in touch

You can just show up. You can ask first, too.

Sunday worship is at 9:00 and 10:45. If a question is keeping you from coming, we would like to help.

We will save you a little guesswork.

A few things you might be wondering

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in. You will see jeans, dresses, work boots, and a few ties.

What happens with my kids?

Children can stay with you. A staffed nursery is available for little ones, and ages four through fifth grade can join the children’s group after the opening song. We use matching pickup stickers and two volunteers in each room.

Is the building accessible?

The Marr Street entrance has a step-free ramp. Accessible parking is beside that door, and an accessible restroom is in the foyer. Ask a greeter for a large-print bulletin.

Will someone ask me to stand up?

No. We will not call out visitors, ask you to introduce yourself, or put you on a mailing list without asking.

Do I need to give money?

No. An offering is part of worship, but guests should feel free to let the plate pass.

Can I come if I am unsure about faith?

Yes. Bring your questions, or just sit and listen. You do not need to have it all figured out.

The side door is the easy one.

Turn onto Marr Street from the courthouse square. The church lot is beside the brick building. Accessible spaces are closest to the ramp. A greeter is there before both Sunday services.
