We follow
the flowers.

Carl keeps the bees. June keeps the jars. We both keep an eye on the weather.

Wooden beehives in an Arkansas clover field

A small bee yard.
A long way around the seasons.

We started with a few hives outside Bee Branch in 2011. Today our colonies live on neighboring farms, where clover, blackberry and goldenrod take their turns. We do not ask the honey to taste the same every year. We would rather you taste the difference.

We take only the surplus, leave stores for the bees, and keep each harvest separate. June strains the honey, lets the bubbles settle and fills the jars. No flavoring, no shortcuts to a perfectly clear bottle.

A little spin, a simple strain, then time to settle. That is our honey room.
