From Cody’s river notebook

Cool mornings. Small flies.

October 12, 2026 · Example guide report

The fog stayed with us past breakfast. We found rainbows along the soft edges, where the current slows.

Water & generation

Our example day began with low water and an afternoon rise. Releases can change without much notice. We check the current schedule before departure and watch the water all day.

What’s biting

Small dark midges in the slower seams. An olive streamer brought a brown out from the bank when the flow picked up.

Fly of the week

An olive woolly bugger. Keep it simple, fish it patiently.

We’re three guides who call this stretch home. We know when to drift, where to stop, and when the best plan is a different one.
