// websites & hosting
Your website, run by someone who answers.
One ladder, whether you already have a site or need one built. We host it on AWS infrastructure we run ourselves, put it behind SSL, back it up off-site every night and watch it around the clock. When something's wrong you reach us — the people with root — not a ticket queue. Hosting starts at $49/month. If you need the site built as well, a straightforward build is $1,500, or $0 up front on a 24-month Care or Commerce plan.
> How the move works
We look before we leap
Where the site lives now, where your email lives (they're often tangled together, and mail must never break), and what's under the hood. You get a straight answer on what the move involves before anything is touched.
Staged and tested
We copy your site onto our infrastructure and test the copy against a preview address while your live site keeps running. Nothing public changes until the copy is proven working.
The cutover
Your domain moves during a quiet window, with DNS timers lowered ahead of time so propagation takes minutes, not days. Your old hosting stays paid through its billing period as a rollback — a safety net we shouldn't need, but have.
Then it's our problem
SSL renewals, nightly off-site backups, software updates, and uptime monitoring that alerts us when something's off — usually before you'd have noticed. You go back to running your business.
> Sites we run right now
Not mockups. Every one of these is live on AWS infrastructure we built and operate, and you can click straight through to it — a national platform, a product of our own, and a business running on the plans below.
Dynasty Haus sits on the shared platform described on this page — its own isolated account, its own database, certificate and nightly backup, and no way to reach any other site. DogSport USA and Sire & Dam run on infrastructure of their own; they are here because we built and still run both, not because they are on a plan.
> Pick your tier
Same three tiers whether we built the site or you brought it with you. No setup fee, no contract. Leave whenever you like and we hand you a full copy of the site and its database. Why it costs this — how we work →
Hosting
$49/mo
Keep my site online and safe. I'll handle most of my own changes.
- Managed AWS hosting · SSL certificate handled and auto-renewed
- Nightly off-site backups — and we actually test the restores
- 24/7 uptime monitoring — the alert comes to us, not to you
- Your site isolated on its own account, so a neighbour's hacked plugin can't reach it
- One small change a month included; more than that, move up to Care any month
Care
$149/mo
Hosting, plus a person keeping the site current
- Everything in Hosting
- Changes handled — under an hour is simply covered, no line items. Business email, DNS and domains looked after. Migration and cleanup done for you at the start.
- Core, plugin & theme updates handled on a schedule — with a backup taken first, every time
- New hours, a photo swap, a price change — email it to us and it's done
- We're the first to know when something looks wrong, and the ones who fix it
Commerce
from $249/mo
For sites that take money or bookings · quoted
- Everything in Care
- Store looked after: catalog, sizes and options, checkout and order flow — Square wired in where it fits
- Priority response — a store being down is an emergency and is treated like one
- Bigger changes tested on a staging copy first, so experiments never touch the live store
> What about building the site?
Most small business sites — a handful of pages, photos, a contact form, a shop if you need one — we build on a template we maintain. A straightforward build is $1,500, quoted in writing, or $0 up front on a 24-month Care or Commerce plan. You pick a tier and we put the site together.
We charge for a build when it's genuinely custom work: a bespoke design, a migration off a tangled old site, or software that doesn't exist yet. Then it's quoted once, in writing, before we start — never buried in a higher monthly forever.
Why it works that way: charging $50 a month extra for a build you only did once means three years later the customer is still paying for it and can't see why. We'd rather the monthly be the same for everyone and the build be an honest, one-time number — $1,500 for a straightforward site, or nothing up front if you commit to 24 months of Care or Commerce. What the monthly does cover is the person: the changes, the migration, and the problems that were here before we were.
> The panel you get with it
Every site comes with an admin panel built for the person who owns the business, not for a developer. Products, prices, photos, opening hours, bookings, the words on the front page — you change them yourself and they are live when you hit save. No plugins to update, nothing to break, no separate page builder to learn.
Your products, their prices and whether each one is live — and your actual website previewing beside it, desktop or phone, so you never save a change and hope.
Sections switch on and off as the business changes. A shop, a booking diary, dogs and litters, a members club, a mailbox — included with your plan, not sold back to you as upgrades.
Screens are from a demonstration site — a roastery we made up — so no customer's products, orders or enquiries appear on this page.
> Business email, on your own domain
We used to tell people to keep their email wherever it already was. That changed: RedCyfer now runs its own mail platform, so you@yourbusiness.com can live here alongside the site — on a separate server from it, which is the part that matters.
What a mailbox gets you
- Your own address on your own domain — as many mailboxes as the business needs
- Works in the mail app you already use: iPhone, Android, Outlook, Apple Mail
- Webmail in a browser when you are on someone else's machine
- Your inbox inside your website admin too — enquiries and replies in one place
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up properly, so your mail arrives instead of landing in spam
Why it is a separate server
- Mixing mailboxes with websites is how small businesses lose mail — a bad afternoon on the web server should never cost you a message
- Mail runs on its own machine, with its own backups and its own monitoring
- Moving your domain here is planned before anything is touched, so mail never skips a beat
- Leaving takes your mail with you — it is standard IMAP, not a walled garden
Webmail at mail.redcyfer.com — the same mailbox your phone is reading, so what you have opened on one is opened on the other.
Mailboxes are quoted with the plan rather than listed here — ask us how many addresses you need and we will price it.
> Why not the big hosts?
The $5-a-month crowd
- Hundreds of strangers' sites on the same account boundary — one hacked plugin over there becomes your problem
- "Backups" you discover are broken the day you need one
- Renewal prices that triple after year one, upsells on every screen
- Support that reads a script and closes the ticket
RedCyfer hosting
- Every site on its own isolated account with its own database — by design, not as an upsell
- Nightly backups shipped off-site, with versioned restore points we actually test
- The price on this page is the price — no contract, and it never moves once you're on it
- Support is us. We have root, we know your site, and we answer
You're not buying from a faceless host. RedCyfer has 25+ years running Linux systems, carrier networks, and cloud infrastructure, based in Jonesboro and hosting for clients nationwide. Your site runs on the same AWS foundation as the production systems in our case studies, and this very website.
> Honest fine print
Email still doesn't live on the web server. Mixing mailboxes with websites is how small businesses lose mail, so we don't do it — mail runs on its own machine. Keep your email exactly where it is if it works, and we map that out before your domain moves so it never skips a beat. If you would rather it lived here, see business email above.
Neglected sites get a quote first. If your site arrives with years of plugin buildup, an abandoned theme, or an active hack, the cleanup is scoped and quoted as one-time work before we start — the monthly price never quietly absorbs a rebuild.
Leaving is easy. Your domain and your content are yours. Leave whenever you like and we'll hand you a complete copy of your site and database — no hostage negotiations.
Prices are per site, billed monthly, no term. Billing starts at signup; we'll reach out to schedule your migration right after. Domain registration and any paid third-party plugin licenses stay in your name and are billed by their vendors.
Already a customer? Your price never moves.
