The terms, in plain English.
These apply to the monthly plans RedCyfer sells. Where a plan has its own term or fee it is stated here, and it matches the pricing page.
Who you are dealing with
RedCyfer, a sole-operator technical practice in Jonesboro, Arkansas, run by Chris Woodall. Every plan is delivered and supported by that one person.
Prices
The prices here and on the pricing page are for new signups. An existing customer's price does not change, not at renewal and not at the end of a term. What you signed up at is what you pay for as long as you stay on that plan. Anything outside a plan is priced in writing before the work starts; you will never receive an invoice you have not already agreed to.
Terms and equipment
- Managed network, NetCare Business ($129 a month per site). 12-month initial term, then month to month. Hardware is RedCyfer equipment on your subscription. If you cancel inside the term and keep it, a one-time $399 equipment fee applies. Each additional site is $100 a month, on the same terms. VPN for staff is included.
- Websites: Basic Hosting ($19 a month), Hosting + Care ($39 a month), Commerce (from $199 a month, quoted). Billed monthly per site, no term unless you choose a 24-month Care or Commerce plan for a ready-made design. Leave whenever you like and you receive a complete copy of the site and its database.
- Website builds. Ready-made designs are $0 up front on a 24-month Care or Commerce plan. Custom builds are $500 one-time, Commerce only. Moving an existing site is included. If you leave a 24-month plan early, you pay the remaining $500 build value, prorated over 24 months. Leave after 12 months and you pay $250.
- Cy plans. $25, $50, $75, $100, $200, $500 or $1,000 a month. Every job included. Credits equal the plan price times 100. Monthly credits reset on your billing date and do not roll over. Extra credits come in $10 steps, last 12 months and are used after monthly credits. Cy stops when credits run out and never charges on its own. Moving up takes effect at once with a prorated charge and credits; moving down starts on your next billing date. Cy drafts; it never sends, publishes or charges.
- Cy on the phone ($49 a month). Month to month. 200 minutes included, then 20 cents a minute, metered per calendar month. Setup is included. Your number is yours and can be ported out.
Billing
Plans are billed in advance by card through Square, on the day you sign up and monthly thereafter (or annually where you chose a prepaid year). One-off work is invoiced when it is done, at the rate agreed in writing beforehand.
What "covered" means
Hosting + Care includes up to 30 minutes of changes a month. Unused time does not carry over. Business email setup is included; business email, DNS and domains are looked after. Commerce includes the website AI assistant, running on Claude Opus 5.5. Same-day answers, up to 2 hours of Chris's time a month. On Hosting it is one small change a month. If something is down, it gets dealt with. Larger work is quoted first.
Leaving
Tell us by email. Month-to-month plans stop at the end of the current billing month. Plans inside an initial NetCare term follow the equipment terms above. If you leave a 24-month plan early, you pay the remaining $500 build value, prorated over 24 months. Leave after 12 months and you pay $250. Either way you leave with your content, your domain, your data and a written runbook of how it was set up.
Not covered
Third-party costs stay with their vendors and in your name: domain registration, paid plugin licenses, your internet provider, Square's processing fees. We do not guarantee against lawsuits, outages caused by third parties, or results from work we advised against.
