// how we work
We don't hand you a login and wish you luck.
Most of what goes wrong with a small business's technology went wrong before anyone noticed. Somebody set up email in 2014 and left. A plugin stopped updating. The domain renews to an address nobody reads. When you start with us, that gets sorted out — not billed hourly, not put in a ticket queue, not left for you to figure out. Sorted out. Then it's quiet, which is the whole point.
> What the first two weeks look like
A call before anything is touched.
Not a discovery questionnaire. A conversation where you tell me what's broken and I tell you what I'd do about it, in words that mean something.
I do the moving.
Migration, DNS, SSL, email records, redirects, the old host's cancellation. You do not need a password reset marathon. If I need something from you I ask once, and I tell you exactly where to click to get it.
The stuff that was already wrong gets fixed.
SPF that never passed. A backup that hadn't run since March. A form that emails an inbox nobody owns. Found during setup, fixed during setup, not invoiced separately.
Nothing goes live until it's verified.
Site loads on the new host, mail delivers to Gmail and Outlook, backups restore — tested, not assumed — before the old thing is switched off.
You get told when it's done, in one message,
with what changed and what to expect.
> What "support" means after that
- You get a person, by name, who already knows how your setup is put together. Not a queue, not a bot, not tier one reading a script.
- Under an hour is covered. Change some text, add a page, fix a form, reset a mailbox — it's in the plan. No line items, no "that's billable", no arguing about whether it counts. That's on Care $149 and above, Household, NetCare and Gov. On Hosting $49 it's one small change a month — plainly, so nobody is surprised.
- If it's outside the plan, you're told the price before the work, in writing. There are no surprise invoices from us. Ever.
- I fix things that aren't strictly mine when they're in the way. If your printer is the reason the invoices aren't going out, we're fixing the printer.
- If it's genuinely down, it gets dealt with.
> The honest part
This is not a call centre. RedCyfer is a small operation, on purpose — that's why you get someone who knows your name and your network. It also means I don't take on more clients than I can actually look after. If I can't do your job properly I'll say so and tell you who can.

Chris Woodall — Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Twenty-five-plus years of network and Linux work: fiber and outside plant, electric-co-op systems, hosting, VoIP, and the web builds in /work/. RedCyfer is me. When you call, that's who answers.

Everything above is included in the monthly price. That's what the monthly price is for.
